Channel 6 (2019) solo exhibition | Turf Projects, London
The moving image segments of Channel 6 oscillate from places of power, such as the media’s portrayal of the Royal Family, to sites of resistance where bystanders, by collective compassion and force, challenge Immigration Enforcement. One of the key characters in the exhibition is an anthropomorphic immigration van developed in collaboration with 3D illustrator Tadeo Soriano. The segments use a mix of appropriated news footage, bystander’s recording of a violent event, and stock video, images, and 3D models.
